NASA World Wind: This open source software is developed by NASA so you're pretty much guaranteed pure awesomeness. Their popular products such as Jira and Confluence are written in Java. Standalone it's a simple text editor, but through its powerful and extensive plugin system it can be transformed into a sophisticated IDE.Ītlassian software products: This is an Australian based software company that creates enterprise software products. Also, jEdit is a free multi-platform text editor written in Java. Some examples are Eclipse, NetBeans, and IntelliJ. IDEs: Many popular Desktop Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) are built using Java. For more cool-factor, PlayStation 3 is in compliance with BD-J. One of the main features is that it allows bonus content on Blu-ray disc titles. There are a lot of neat things that you can do with BD-J.
